The Bruster family purchased the historic theatre in downtown Newport in 1996 and lovingly restored it to its 1936 splendor. The theatre re-opened May of 1997, and is designated as a Newport art deco landmark. In addition to a mixture of performances, concerts, dances, live shows, classic movies and family entertainment, it also hosts events for outside organizers. Some of these events are private, but a large number are open to the public. Organizers conducting these events have the luxury of walking into a fabulous entertainment facility that is hosted by the Bruster family. The responsibility of the events organizer is to establish the theme, date of event, invite guests and advertise the event.
